We made it!

Bea and I got here safely and exhausted at 5 a.m. We woke up to a delicious mangu (mashed plantains), and eggs with salchichon (salami) for breakfast. We worked most of the day unpacking, sorting gifts and making gift bags for the kids.

The boxes we shipped at the end of November with the big toys for the "main event" still have not arrived ... we are hoping the boxes get here early next week! However, because of the additional help we received this year from individuals and churches, we were able bring four huge "gusano" bags full of smaller toys, school supplies, clothes, and hygiene products.
